A vase with tier of history. The first: the moment of contact, Spanish against Aztecs, some in metal garb like modern transformers arriving to a land they do not comprehend. The “other” figures, already demonized in his jaguar costume, invoking the forces of their mythic gods ready to fight off a prophesy. The scene on the second tier: a picture of an “Indian” mixing his chocolate with a wood mixer identical to one used in my childhood home in Bogotá. The third tier: elegant chocolate drinkers lean like Etruscans, enjoying the fruits of their empire. On the last tier: branding!
